Before your treatment
Prior to your new permanent cosmetics improvement, think about the look you wish to attain. As a permanent cosmetic specialist, we assure and promise to you that you will attain the right look and styles fit for you. However, you have a role in the decision-making process.
Permanent cosmetic treatments usually require certain amounts of steps in the process. To attain the best result you will be required to visit for at least one control procedure about four to six weeks after the beginning of the application.
THE FOLLOW UP VISIT IS COMPLIMENTARY.
Be prepared for the color intensity to be sharper and darker significantly right after the procedure. This will subside and return to normal as the skin heals. This process can take up to 14 days.
- Since after the treatment, delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or irritated, so we advise you not to make any social plans the day of your treatment.
- It would be appreciated and required for you to wear your normal makeup to your enhancement appointment.
- Do not take aspirin or Ibuprofen 2 days prior to and after the procedure.
- Do not discontinue any medicine before consulting with your doctor.
- Keep alcohol intake to a minimum 2 days before and after the procedure.
- A sensitivity test will be preformed unless refrained from request.
- As with Electrolysis the National Blood Service will not accept blood donations for 1 year after your permanent cosmetic enhancement.
Eyebrow Enhancement
- Waxing treatments should be done no less than 3 days prior to your enhancement.
- IPL laser hair removal should be done no less than 3 days prior to your enhancement.
- Electrolysis treatments should be done no less than 5 days prior to your enhancement.
- Eyebrow tinting should not be done for 2 weeks after your enhancement.
After your treatment
The area treated may show redness and swelling, along with the color looking darker. This is all normal.
Additional treatments and procedures can not be done until the area has been completely healed. A 4/6 week healing time is required before undergoing any more work.
In order for the brow to heal, we advise you to avoid water on the brow, make-up on the brow, and to avoid the gym, sauna, or pool for 7 days.
Once the brow area has completely healed, approximately one week, we recommend using a water proof sunblock when going out in the sun to stop any color fading.
Do not pick at the treated area as the pigment will fade. You will go through three healing phases in this process.
- Heal
- Peel
- Fade
You might notice whiteness or blanching around the treated area. This is normal and will return to normal within 12 hours. If you find any lymphatic fluid or blood, you can gently clean it with saline, cool water or gauze. Blot it gently dry to remove any moisture.
With clean hands and a cotton bud, apply a fine layer of after care balm to the area treated. Repeat this process up to three times a day.
After the fine scabbing has disappeared, you will see a different hue to the color implanted.
You might notice a uneven color pigment after a week or two, don’t worry this is a very natural and normal effect. That’s why a follow up appointment is very important to touch up and fill in anything that the skin did not take well.
- Giving blood is prohibited. The Red Cross recommended that you do not donate any blood for 6 months the following treatment.
- Dermal fillers and Botox can change the shape of the eyebrows. The client is advised not to use injectables prior the micro-blading, but after may be carried out.
- Laser or pulsed light hair removal, along with skin rejuvenation can cause color change. It is important to advise the therapist that you have had a micro-blading procedure.
- To keep your eyebrow pigment looking at its best its recommended that you have a color refresh every 6-18 months.
